She is a face that comes forward amongst the dark colors. She stretches out her neck to speak to me. "Shhh.." she says. "I'm here to talk with you." Grief tells me she has some lessons for me. She is more like a presence than a figure. She comes from the sky. She is there in the background, looming always and when she needs to show herself she comes forward. Her presence is powerful. Possibly overwhelming. She starts to speak...

"I am here to speak with you. And I am here to teach you. I will overwhelm you. I will envelope you. But be sure to not ignore me. See how I'm speaking softly now? Don't make me have to speak louder to ensure you are listening. I know you are sad. I know none of this makes sense. I know you want your mom. I know nothing can replace her. I know all of these things. You are struggling. It's never going to make sense. Your mom is okay. The love you both share transcends this physical life and you'll walk together in many more lives. I know it to be true. I am here to guide you. Please listen to me when you can. Although I am an unsuspecting guide, I am here nonetheless. Pain and sorrow help us learn a lot about what matters most to us. It's hard but it's true. Your mom taught you so much in her physical life and that won't stop now. She is here guiding you too. It's different but she's here. I know I bring about darkness but there are things we find in the dark that we'd never see in the light. Just keep listening, feeling, and not ignoring it all. I know how painful it is - believe me I do. I know you would give anything to have her back. Let yourself feel the pain and sit in it. I'm sorry but there's no way around it. I've come into your life now and you know things will never be the same. Once we've been introduced, I leave a mark. It's the nature of who I am. Many people know me even though they don't want to. But I am here. I know my presence is large, I know I'm overwhelming and overpower many things. But find some time to sit with me. The pain I bring to you teaches about the love you have. You have so much pain because there is so much love. Did you know you could feel such love? I'm here to show you - yes. I want you to know I will always be around. I am present in your life now and things will be different moving forward. I am here to be with you whether you are ready or not. I will be here.
